Contrast agents in cells

Here the same cells you saw in the last page have had two different coloured dyes added. Each colour is labelling a different structure. The blue colour is the nucleus containing the DNA instruction manual; the green colour is where radiation has damaged the DNA.  Look carefully - the damage is in straight lines, showing where the radiation has travelled.
